Jamie Winslow

Director

Meet Jamie, Director of Portable Building Services. With years of experience in cabins, containers, and modular buildings, Jamie’s all about finding practical, no-fuss space solutions for customers.

He enjoys helping businesses get set up with the right unit and keeping things flexible and straightforward.

Outside of work, he coaches Newton Abbot under-16s rugby team and makes the most of his downtime sailing along the Devon coast or taking part in regattas on his boat moored in Dartmouth.

Ed Steadman

Operation & Sales Manager

Meet Ed, our Operation & Sales Manager. Ed’s been with Dainton since 2025 and brings 15 years of experience running cafés, takeaways and high street retail.

He’s known for his friendly, down-to-earth approach and loves helping customers bring their ideas to life with bespoke space solutions.

Outside of work, Ed’s a keen cook, a trained cocktail barman, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.

Abi Sykes

Sales Manager

Meet Abi, Our Sales Manager. Originally from Northumberland, Abi moved to Devon in 2021 and hasn’t looked back.

She brings a hands-on, customer-focused approach, supported by experience in events coordination, cabin crew, and sales.

Outside of work, Abi enjoys exploring the Devon countryside with her husband, Joe – often on their motorbikes. She’s a keen cook and an active member of the events committee at Topsham RFC, where she spends most weekends supporting.

 

 

Gareth Summers

Gareth leads the team in the yard, oversees refurbishment work on cabins, and regularly heads out to install modular buildings — including stacking and assembling units on site.

With skills in carpentry, building and forklift driving, Gareth enjoys putting his practical know-how to good use every day.

He enjoys the variety that each day brings, from problem solving to tackling new challenges. Outside of work, Gareth can usually be found working on cars, enjoying 4×4 off-roading, or helping at local horse shows.

Dwaine Warner

Dwaine’s been part of the Dainton team since 2020 and is our go-to expert in cabin refurbishment.

Day to day, Dwaine takes on everything from painting and flooring to installations and general maintenance, keeping our cabins in top condition. With a background as a painter, decorator, plasterer and general builder, he brings plenty of practical expertise to the job.

Outside of work, Dwaine likes to relax with his wife and kids, and is a keen darts player.

 

Jake Mullin

Jake works across the yard and our self-storage sites, handling plumbing, kitchen and toilet installations, and general maintenance.

He is an expert in building and plumbing, he loves the variety of the job and getting out to different depots. Outside of work, Jake likes coarse fishing.
