Shipping Container Conversions

Our containers are built to exacting ISO standards to withstand the rolling seas and high winds whilst transporting goods around the world. Robust steel construction and structural integrity mean our shipping containers are the perfect base for conversion projects and because they are manufactured en masse, shipping containers can be produced relatively cheaply.

Constructed off-site and with minimal on-site requirements, our conversions can be installed quickly and efficiently. They can also be relocated or sold when the need arises.

What can we add to shipping containers?

We can convert containers for many uses simply by adding some or all of these features:

By joining standard containers together you can create whatever size you are looking for. They can be any length or width you require. Shipping containers can also be stacked giving you multi-storied accommodation all linked together with internal or external staircases.

Examples of container conversions

Some of our previous customers have had shipping containers converted into:

Horse stables and tack rooms converted from small shipping containers.

Sometimes shipping containers can be converted for unexpected uses. With suitable ventilation and access, containers can even be used for shipping live stock. These photographs are of DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) approved horse box units.

Allotment storage rooms.

This example shows how a 40×8 container can be converted for use as a shared storage solution. Individual compartments have been created with doors along the side. This type of solution is ideal for storing items such as tools in an allotment or other outdoor communal space where watertight and secure storage is required.

Fitted with a generator and stairs added for access.

When shipping containers are stacked for multi-storey accommodation, safe access becomes a priority. External stairs can be fitted to meet these needs and are available in a variety of colours and styles.

Portable toilets and shower units can also be converted from shipping containers.

These can be delivered ready for use, plumbed and fitted out for easy connection. Plus, they are very easy to clean and totally hygienic. A variety of options are available, from basic to more luxurious units.
