Established in 1980, the Dainton Group now has 14 depots throughout the South West of England and South Wales offering domestic and commercial customers Self Storage facilities, Portable Buildings & Shipping Containers and a range of Business Services.

History

Dainton has changed a lot since it started life in 1971 when David Maddicott founded Dainton Excavators, supplying heavy machinery to the building trade across Devon and then the South West of England.

The business grew and adapted to meet the fast changing needs of our customers. We therefore started supplying shipping containers and portable buildings in 1985 and we opened our first self storage facility in Heathfield, Devon in 2003.

Present day

Today, we are the largest privately owned self storage provider in Europe with 14 facilities and 7 business parks across the South West of England and South Wales.

Whilst we continue to expand, we remain true to providing a family run, customer focused, and community business with the highest of corporate standards. Our reputation is built on best value, trust and exceptional customer service.

We work hard to anticipate evolving customer needs and deliver services that make us stand out from the competition.

Our offering

Self Storage

We offer a range of secure self storage options across a number of convenient locations. From drive up containers to indoor lock ups (site dependent), our storage offering is ideal for house moves, growing businesses and more.

We also supply a range of essential packing and storage supplies, in stock at all depots.

Portable Buildings

We buy, sell and hire a range of portable buildings, shipping containers and canteens to customers across the UK.

The experienced team are positioned across sites throughout the South West of England and South Wales.

Business Services

All of our sites are manned 7 days a week. This enables us to be on hand to accept courier deliveries and provide any further assistance needed.

In addition, we have a number of sites which have office and industrial unit rentals available.
